Wyalusing Creek

Description:
A small creek that heads in Susquehanna County PA. Wyalusing Creek
(footnote) is composed of contributions from the North Branch,
Middle Branch and East Branch Wyalusing Creeks and numerous other small creeks.
It flows south west through Fairdale, Rush, Lawton, Rushville, Stevensville,
Camptown (no not the one in the song - Camptown Races), and Wyalusing to end at its
confluence with the Susquehanna River at Wyalusing.

Trip Description:
Open farm lands, never far from Rt. 706.

Access:
In: Access for the creek is at the bridge just south of Rush on state
road 57010 to town of Elk Lake. Look for access at the northeast
corner of the bridge.

Out: Access is just south of Stevensville at a bridge across the creek
connecting Rt. 706 to route 08330. Look for access at the
south east corner of the bridge.

Hazards: None reported. Possible strainers.

Water Conditions: Runnable early Spring or after heavy rain.

Gauge: Gauge on Stevensville bridge should read at least ....

Trip Description: Said to be a pleasant section to paddle.
Access
Int: Access is just south of Stevensville at a bridge across the creek
connecting Rt. 706 to route 08330. Look for access at
the south east corner of the bridge.

Out: Exit at the bridge on Rt. 6 just west of the village of Wyalusing.
Look for access on the north east corner of the bridge.

Also you can exit just down river from its confluence with the
Susquehanna river at the bridge on route 08010. Look for
access at the south east corner of the bridge. This access is
rather steep but do able.

When Wyalusing creek is runnable the Susquehanna maybe running very
high so use caution if you elect this access.
